Burney Car Show — Eighteen classic cars met this morning, Saturday, May 29, at My-T-Fine Foods in Bella Vista and headed out at 6:30 am for the Burney car show. Three more club members met us there. It was a great show at a great venue. We had a number of members winning awards. Rick and Karen Alvord, Don Balducci, Greg and JoAnn Blomquist, Sandra Cottingham, Dan and Debbie Pranausk, Ed and Darlene Ray, Dewayne and Fran Sanders, Ron Tanno, Roger and Sylvia Vines, Ted and Elaine Wolters all won awards. (If we forgot anyone, we apologize. If you let us know, we will add you to the list). The Shasta Classics also won the participation award! Our members also took home lots of very nice raffle prizes but we didn’t win the $285 50/50. It was a beautiful day in Burney. 46 degrees when we arrived and only 87 degrees at 3 pm. It was 99 in Redding at the same time. Don’t you wish you had joined us?
Happy Valley Strawberry Festival — Five of our members were at the Happy Valley Car Show: Danny Thorsen, Ron Tanno, Sandra Cottingham, Ted Wolters, and Terry & Penny Proschold. Ted and the Proscholds won awards. We usually have many more cars at this show. I guess the hot weather scared them away
